Events

Over the past winter and spring quarters—in addition to hosting the annual Kant Workshop and Aristotle Bash— the department hosted a couple of firsts including the Distinguished Lecture with Rae Langton (Cambridge University) and the Pan-American Symposium on the History of Logic that featured 25 international speakers.

Our Distinguished Visitors included Dimitri El Murr (École Normale Supérieure, Paris), Jacqui Broad (Monash University, Melbourne), and Karen Detlefsen (University of Pennsylvania). These events were made possible by the support of the Kaplan Panzer Philosophy Endowment.

We are pleased to host several colloquia series each year. Held on Fridays, our reoccuring colloquia feature philosophers from around the world. Please visit philosophy.ucla.edu/events for the full schedule.

Professors Sam Cumming, Gabe Greenberg, Pamela Hieronymi, and Sean Walsh, along with two professors from Computer Science, will hold a conference on October 12.
