Feb 1, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Royce Hall, Room 314,

The Department is pleased to announce that we will be starting a tradition of hosting a distinguished lecturer in Philosophy, either yearly or biennially.  This lecturer will spend a week with us, presenting a public lecture for the university community as well as a more research-oriented colloquium (with a pre-circulated paper) for the members of the department.

We are thrilled that Rae Langton has agreed to be our first Distinguished Lecturer.  Professor Langton is Knightbridge Professor and Chair of the Philosophy Department at the University of Cambridge, as well as a Fellow of the British Academy.  Details about her lecture are below.
