We are pleased to hold several conferences and a colloquia series each year, all of which enable distinguished philosophers to speak at UCLA.
Our recurring colloquia featuring interesting talks by a variety of philosophers from around the country. The colloquia are held on Fridays, and there is a speaker featured nearly every month. Celebration of Brian Copenhaver and Calvin Normore: Brian P. Copenhaver (UCLA), “In Praise of Medieval Philosophy,” and Calvin Normore (UCLA), “The Enchantment of the Renaissance,” Friday, December 8, 2017, 3:30 pm. Lectures in Royce 362 followed by reception in Royce 314. We are hosting a celebration of the work of Brian Copenhaver, Steven F. and Christine L. Udvar-Hazy Professor, upon his retirement, and of Professor Calvin Normore, who is assuming the newly renamed chair in Professor Copenhaver’s name. The chair was generously endowed by Steven and Christine Udvar-Hazy.
