Research
My primary area of interest is in philosophy of pregnancy. I’m concerned with questions about the nature of the relationship between a fetus and its gestator (Is it part of, or merely contained within the gestator?), the ways in which we approach learning about that relationship (What kinds of evidence do we need? Do we look purely at the biological information about pregnancy, or should we ask gestators about what it feels like?), and how we use our insights into that relationship to improve maternity care in medicine.
