Congratulations to Ayana Samuel who has been chosen to receive UCLA’s Distinguished Teaching Award!! Each year, the award is given to only five teaching assistants on campus and recognizes extraordinary teaching. Recipients are selected from nominations received by colleagues and leaders across the campus and recommendations by students. The Department is committed to excellence in its teaching mission and is simply delighted to celebrate Ayana for her exemplary dedication to that excellence, a dedication at once knowledgeable, creative, and deeply caring.
