Interested in pursuing Law School after earning your Philosophy degree? Join us for an in-person career panel with recent UCLA Philosophy alumni who are current or incoming Law students as they share tips and advice on the application process.

Meet the Speakers

 

Etai Dayani

2L Student at UCLA School of Law, UCLA Philosophy, Class of 2023

Etai graduated from UCLA with a BA in Philosophy in 2023 and is currently a second-year JD student at UCLA School of Law. His interests are in corporate and real estate law, and this upcoming summer, Etai will be working at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in their corporate group.

 

 

Katherine Smith

Attorney Support at Latham & Watkins, UCLA Philosophy, Class of 2024

Katherine “Kat” Smith is an Attorney Support Assistant at Latham & Watkins’ Orange County Office, where she has progressed from supporting new associates to assisting partners. She contributes to the Pro Bono Committee, the OC Community Engagement Team, and firm affinity groups. While working full-time, Kat is a 2025 UCLA Law Fellow preparing for law school applications and volunteers with the Celiac Disease Foundation to support their advocacy efforts. She graduated from UCLA in 2024 with BAs in Philosophy and English. During her time at UCLA, Kat was involved in PLTS, Phi Alpha Delta, the Sailing Team, and the Daily Bruin. Her legal interests include disability and education policy, as well as the philosophy of law.
