Meet the Speakers

Jeff Stinnett, Attorney, Stinnett Law Firm

Jeff Stinnett was raised in Ventura, California. He attended UCLA and studied philosophy, completing his degree in 1991. He did some work in local government and did some graduate study in philosophy at Cal State L.A. He then attended law school at Pepperdine. He practices law in Ventura and has his own law firm of 3 other attorneys and support staff.

Jeff is very grateful for his time at UCLA and appreciates it more and more as the years pass.

Carrie Camarena, Senior Counsel, CA Dept. of Housing and Community Development

Carrie Camarena is Senior Counsel at the California Department of Housing and Community Development. Originally from Santa Cruz, she earned her B.A. in Philosophy from UCLA before spending several years in Lake Tahoe enjoying snowboarding and mountain biking. Carrie later graduated from UC Davis School of Law and began her legal career as a public defender. For most of her career, she has served as an attorney for the State of California, focusing on health law and, more recently, housing law. She lives in Sacramento and remains an avid supporter of UCLA and its athletic programs.
