Meet the Speakers
John Abughattas, Ph.D Student, Department of Philosophy, and Master’s Student, Department of Computer Science, at Harvard University
John graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Philosophy in 2019 and has since gone on to Harvard University to pursue a PhD in Philosophy as well as a Master’s in Computer Science.
Elias Allen, Ph.D. Student, Department of Philosophy at UC Berkeley
Elias graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Philosophy in 2022 and has since gone on to UC Berkeley to pursue a PhD in Philosophy.
Elliot Yu, Ph.D. Student, Department of Visual Studies at UC Irvine
Elliot Yu (He/Him) is a multidisciplinary artist and a first year PhD Student in the Visual Studies department at UCI. He studies the intersection of art, technology, experimentation, and interaction, with a specific focus on video games and audiovisual media. His work is heavily informed by “practice as research” and believes that making and doing are essential aspects of experimental scholarship.
