Meet the Speakers

Jesse Summers, Adjunct Associate Professor of Philosophy, Duke University; Associate Director, Purpose Project

Jesse Summers teaches philosophy and ethics at Duke University where he has been since 2013. His dissertation from UCLA was on the topic of addiction, he has one book on the subject of moral OCD, and he works generally in the areas of ethics and moral psychology.

Jonathon Klyng, Professor of Philosophy and Distance Education Coordinator, Los Angeles Harbor College 

Jonathon is a professor of Philosophy and Distance Education Coordinator at Los Angeles Harbor College, where he led the transition from in-person to online during Covid. After completing his undergraduate studies in philosophy, he earned an MA in Philosophy and CSU Los Angeles and an EdD from UCLA.
