James Costello and Paul Martin will discuss their careers in sales/marketing and consulting/non-profit leadership (respectively), walk through the paths they took post-grad, and share tips/advice with current students. You’ll have the chance to ask any specific questions and connect with our panelists.

Meet the Speakers
James Costello
Sr. Email Marketing Manager, Core Digital Media
James is an advertising copywriter for Core Digital Media, a subsidiary of Rocket Companies. After graduating from UCLA in 2003 with a BA in Philosophy, he began as a recruiter, which has opened many doors in a sales and marketing career. In 2012 he earned an MA in Philosophy from LMU and taught as a lecturer. Once his daughters graduate from high school, he looks forward to once again teaching a Philosophy class each year.

Paul Martin (‘03) holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in philosophy. He has a career in nonprofit leadership in Southern California, nationally, and internationally, with an emphasis on children’s rights and youth empowerment. Last year, with professors from UCLA, the University of Queensland, Pepperdine University, UCI, and McGill, he launched The Critical Thinking Initiative, bringing logic and classical critical thinking tools to K-12 schools. He is also founder and CEO of United Against Fentanyl and the #JustSayNever campaign, a new NGO responding to the fentanyl crisis.
