What were your favorite philosophy courses at UCLA?

Do you have a good story or two about the department?

I met my husband there. Tony Brueckner was a graduate student, and he was my TA in Andy Woodfield’s course in teleology in January of 1975. We were married in June of 1987.

Are there any philosophical issues, readings, or topics that have stayed with you since graduation?

Lately, I have been thinking about medical ethics. I always wonder about issues Tony taught in the areas of epistemology.

What was your first job or endeavor after UCLA?

I was a receptionist at a CPA firm.

What lessons or skills from philosophy do you use in your career?

I use analytic reasoning and close listening and reading.
