Are there any philosophical issues, readings, or topics that have stayed with you since graduation?

I continue to think about the objectivity of morality, and Spinoza’s theory of Nature.

Do you have advice for current students or recent graduates about how to take advantage of and continue their philosophical education?

If you like or love philosophy, chances are you just need a bit of guidance to help pave the way to more clarity. People who are really good at philosophy will have these discussions with you and guide your thinking. The biggest philosophy help I got was from two department alumni who are incredibly strong thinkers. We still speak every day, and they helped me think stronger, faster, and better. The same would probably be true if you could find a professor whom you really like as a person, and go talk to them as often as you can.
