What were your favorite philosophy courses at UCLA?
PHILOS 100B, 104, 184, 191, 232
Are there any philosophical issues, readings, or topics that have stayed with you since graduation?
During my time at UCLA I took some truly incredible and relevant classes to our current society. Having the opportunity to take courses on Science and the Social World and on Intersectionality allowed me to look at, evaluate, and enter these conversations and spaces from an academic perspective. As I am currently pursuing a MS Journalism, I feel as if this educational background has served me well in regards to both thoughts and actions.
What was your first job or endeavor after UCLA?
Immediately following graduation, I began a MS Journalism program at USC which is an eleven-month program. After completing my MS, I plan to work in media and apply to Law School for Fall 2025 admittance.
What lessons or skills from philosophy do you use in your career?
Philosophy has taught me how to compose concise and thoughtful perspectives along with developing speaking and presentation skills, especially through my 191 and 232 course work.
