Evan Sullivan (Technology Product Manager at UCLA), Rashi Garg (Data Scientist at ByteDance), and John Kardosh (Full-Stack Developer at UCLA) will discuss the paths they took after earning their philosophy degrees to build successful careers in tech. They’ll share tips and advice for current students and answer any questions you might have. If you’re curious about a career in tech, you won’t want to miss this session!

Meet the Speakers
Evan Sullivan, Technology Product Manager, UCLA
Evan has worked in the user-experience design field for over 10 years. Leveraging the critical thinking and communication skills he acquired in the UCLA Philosophy undergraduate program, Evan began his career with design roles at Honda and Acura. Presently, Evan serves as the Technology Product Manager for the Advancement Technology Solutions group within UCLA External Affairs.
Rashi Garg, Data Scientist, ByteDance
Rashi graduated from UCLA in 2023 as a Philosophy and Statistics major. She currently works as a data scientist at ByteDance.
John Kardosh, Full-Stack Developer, UCLA
As a full-stack developer on the HumTech WebOps team, John helps create and maintain websites for the UCLA Humanities Division. Additionally, he plays a key role in managing the team’s DevOps pipeline. Before starting as a developer with HumTech, John was a PhD student in the Department of Philosophy at UCLA, where his research focused on the history and psychology of logic and reasoning.
