Alison Keith is Professor of Classics and Women’s Studies, and Director of the Jackman Humanities Institute, at the University of Toronto.
This paper explores the evidence of Latin poetry for the diffusion of Epicurean philosophy in Roman society and culture from Lucilius in the mid-republic to Martial in the high empire.
This talk is a joint venture with UCLA Department of Classics.
