Dana Scott, Professor Emeritus, Carnegie Mellon University and Visiting Scholar, UC Berkeley, will present his paper entitled "Can Euclid still be classified as an applied mathematician?" Prof. Scott, one of the world's most eminent mathematical logicians, played a key role in the development of the logics underlying several computer languages.
